Vertigo Remedy for Immediate and Long Lasting Effects
It’s challenging to find a vertigo remedy that truly works, especially one that can help address the more chronic and severe cases of vertigo. Common remedies include medications, increased rest, proper hydration, and even various herbs and seeds. There are also maneuvers and exercises (e.g. yoga) that are suggested for those who suffer from Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, the most common form of this condition.
Groundbreaking Treatment for Vertigo
We offer treatment that is more immediate and longer lasting than any medical or home vertigo remedy. Our Clinical Director Dr. Victor M. Pedro is the founder of PEDROCIT®, an innovative, research-based diagnostic and treatment methodology. PEDROCIT is a non-invasive (no use of surgery or drugs) and cost-effective treatment for vertigo. While not a cure for dizziness, PEDROCIT seeks to resolve the underlying dysfunctions in the nervous system that give rise to a patient’s debilitating vertigo symptoms, whether it is feelings of lightheadedness or spinning, nausea, vomiting and even physical weakness. Here’s how the treatment process works:
STEP 1 - Initial Evaluation
We first perform an initial evaluation to give us a working hypothesis of how to treat the underlying problem
STEP 2 - Treatment
During the same visit, the patient undergoes one treatment, receiving a series of brief repetitive stimulations that may include visual and oculomotor stimulation and specialized physical activities
STEP 3 - Assess the Patient's Response
Patients who respond positively to PEDROCIT® usually do so within this first visit; if s/he does, we then create a custom treatment plan.
STEP 4 - A Custom Treatment Plan
Patients who respond positively typically undergo 1-2 hours of treatment/day, multiple times weekly, up to 4 to 6 weeks; conversely, patients who experience no benefit are not accepted into our program and they experience no resulting adverse effects from treatment
Who We Treat
Our two-hour initial evaluation session involves diagnosis and, if warranted, a trial PEDROCIT treatment to confirm our diagnosis. Aside from shaping a customized treatment plan, this information allows us to assess the patient’s likelihood of success.
Unfortunately, there are certain conditions and lifestyle decisions that can negatively affect outcomes, including heavy alcohol use and other substance abuse, poor patient motivation, and irreversible damage to the brain. These are among the primary reasons we may not be able to accept patients.
Treatment Outcomes
Since 2000, we’ve treated nearly 1,000 patients using PEDROCIT. In addition to treating vertigo, PEDROCIT has successfully helped patients suffering from other related neurological conditions, such as post concussion syndrome, traumatic brain injury, migraines, speech pathologies, and more. We’ve even successfully treated Paula Abdul for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy back in 2012.
Successful PEDROCIT treatment often significantly reduces the severity and recurrence of vertigo, so the patient can resume a full or nearly full quality of life. The results of our treatment program are often long lasting, and may or may not require periodic follow-up treatment depending on the patient’s specific needs.
