Migraine Headaches Treatment that Addresses the Root Cause
Those suffering from migraines are all too familiar with the “test and see” migraine headaches treatment protocol prescribed by doctors. This typically involves trials of preventive and abortive medications, alternative medicine practices, or home remedies – or all of the above. Unfortunately, there is no cure for migraines, only management and relief of the symptoms. Achieving proper migraine headache management requires finding the right combination of these standard approaches, which can take months and even years to determine, especially for intractable migraine sufferers. Until now.
Groundbreaking Treatment for Migraines
We treat migraine headaches unlike any other healthcare professional. Our Clinical Director Dr. Victor M. Pedro is the founder of PEDROCIT®, an innovative, research-based diagnostic and treatment methodology . PEDROCIT is a non-invasive (no use of surgery or drugs) and cost-effective treatment for symptoms caused by migraines. Unlike other migraine headaches treatment methods, PEDROCIT seeks to resolve the underlying dysfunctions in the nervous system that give rise to a patient’s migraine headaches and related symptoms, including auras, sensitivity to light, sound, touch or smells, nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, dizziness, moodiness, and more. Here’s how the treatment process works:
STEP 1 - Initial Evaluation
We first perform an initial evaluation to give us a working hypothesis of how to treat the underlying problem
STEP 2 - Treatment
During the same visit, the patient undergoes one treatment, receiving a series of brief repetitive stimulations that may include visual and oculomotor stimulation and specialized physical activities
STEP 3 - Assess the Patient's Response
Patients who respond positively to PEDROCIT usually do so within this first visit; if s/he does, we then create a custom treatment plan
STEP 4 - A Custom Migraine Headaches Treatment Plan
Who We Treat
Our two-hour initial evaluation session involves diagnosis and, if warranted, a trial PEDROCIT treatment to confirm our diagnosis. Aside from shaping a customized treatment plan, this information allows us to assess a patient’s likelihood of success.
Unfortunately, there are certain conditions and lifestyle decisions that can negatively affect outcomes, including heavy alcohol use and other substance abuse, poor patient motivation, and irreversible damage to the brain. These are among the primary reasons we may not be able to accept patients.
Treatment Outcomes
Since 2000, we’ve treated nearly 1,000 patients using PEDROCIT. In addition to treating intractable migraines, PEDROCIT has successfully helped patients suffering from other related neurological conditions, such as vertigo, traumatic brain injury, post concussion syndrome, speech pathologies, and more. We’ve even successfully treated Paula Abdul for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy back in 2012.
Successful PEDROCIT treatment often significantly reduces the impact of a patient’s migraine headaches and other related symptoms, so that s/he can resume a full or nearly full quality of life. The results of our treatment program are often long lasting, and may or may not require periodic follow-up treatment depending on the patient’s specific needs.
