At the conclusion of the 12-week treatment program, A.D. showed considerable gains in his ability to persevere in academic pursuits. He also improved considerably according to demeanor (he was seen to smile for the first time ever, according to one examiner) and was less depressed, in fact, he has ceased taking antidepressants.
Cortical Integrative Therapy in Apraxia of Speech:
At the conclusion of the 12-week treatment program, J.L. showed considerable gains in his ability to understand directions as noted by an independent examiner, a school psychologist. His overall academic performance, as noted by his classroom teachers and parents, was also significantly improved especially in the areas of reading and reading comprehension, listening skills, oral expression, and rhyming ability.

D.L.’s febrile seizures appear to have ended.

Cortical Integrative Therapy in Congenital Microcephaly with Associated Defective Brain Development:
At the conclusion of the 12-week treatment program, E.F. showed considerable gains in her ability to verbally communicate as noted by an independent examiner, a school psychologist. Her overall academic performance, as noted by her classroom teachers and parents, was also significantly improved.

At the conclusion of the 12-week treatment program, B.R. showed considerable gains in his ability to understand directions as noted by an independent examiner, a school psychologist. His overall academic performance, as noted by his classroom teachers and parents, was also significantly improved especially in the areas of reading comprehension, listening skills, oral expression, and global motor development.
Hand Replantation: Functional results (3 cases)
Between 2002 and 2007, hand replantation was performed at Rhode Island Hospital in three males ranging from 8 to 22 years. The amputations were the result of a log splitter in the child and industrial accidents in the other two cases. The nondominant hand was amputated in all cases. The level of amputation in all cases was in the distal part of the forearm. For the third case, in addition to conventional hand therapy, another type of therapy was added – Cortical Integrative Therapy. The goal was to see if neurocortical stimulation can affect peripheral nerve regeneration and function through reeducation of the patients’ sensory and motor perception.
